Darshana Shanbhag has been practicing Internal Medicine as a physician in the Seattle area for over 25 years. As an avid reader with appreciation for fine literature and the magic of language, she has a strong belief in the need to support and nurture writers from all backgrounds. Her belief in universal education led her to Pratham, India’s largest NGO focused on early education, where she has been chapter President for the past 3 years. Darshana also sits on the board of Landesa, a Seattle based global NGO focused on land rights, particularly for women.
