Bio: A Pushcart nominee, Joan Goodreau's recent books are Where to Now? Strangers Together: How
My Son’s Autism Changed My Life, Where to Next? and Another Secret Shared. She was awarded two Hedgebrook Writing Residencies to complete her memoir and Covid Silence, which she reads on YouTube. Her prize-winning short plays have appeared in local Northern California theater productions. As a parent of an autistic child and a Special Education Program Specialist, she sees the Spectrum from both sides.
