All selected writers in residence will be considered for available fellowships each year based on the unique criteria of our partner organizations. We are honored to work with the following partners to provide more access and opportunity for women-identified writers.

Our 2024 Fellowship Partners:

The Carol Shields Prize Foundation’s mission is to celebrate and support creativity and excellence in the literary arts by women and non-binary writers in the United States and Canada.

The Elizabeth George Foundation (As of January 2025, it is now a charitable trust with a different focus managed by Wells Fargo Advisors).

The McKnight Fellowship Residency is a partnership between Artist Communities Alliance (ACA) and the McKnight Foundation. The program is designed to build equitable capacity in the artist communities field and connect McKnight Fellows with residency opportunities.

BECU supports members and their communities through focused, strategic giving that aims to increase financial health and support our credit union philosophy of people helping people.

The Rona Jaffe Foundation’s programs of support for emerging women writers identify and encourage women writers of exceptional promise in recognition of the important contributions they make to our culture.
